The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) are two of the partners who are helping the Ministry of National Education (MNE) organize a five-day workshop this week at the Karibe Hotel on how to transform the educational system through curriculum reform.
Nesmy Manigat, the minister of education, opened the first phase of construction by calling attention to the urgent need to change the nation’s educational system. For a fairer and more egalitarian society, he emphasized, “the reform of education is equivalent with the transformation of citizens.”
