During a National Police operation in Dajabón, thirteen Haitians were taken into custody. They are charged with robbing a family of their belongings and kidnapping them.
The Listin Diario newspaper claims that because the inmates lacked identification, they will be questioned. Leading the operation was Commander José Roberto Mejía, who brought in the Central Directorate of Investigation (Dicrim), the Central Directorate of Criminal Intelligence (Dintel), and the preventative police. Six motorcycles without documentation, a file, and bladed weapons were taken by the authorities. The family entangled in the Japanese colony said that one of the offenders had threatened them with death.
