In honor of the five officers of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) who died in 2021 during an unsuccessful operation in Village de Dieu, the police authorities held a mass on Sunday, March 12.

The PNH director general, Frantz Elbé, and other high command members attended this mass, which was held in the SWAT headquarters in Clercine.

They now join the pantheon, where the spirits of all those who have sacrificed themselves and who have distinguished themselves by their bravery and sense of devotion, according to a note from the police institution, which said that these five police officers.

The statement reads, “Despite the tears and the sense of desolation that the date of March 12 evokes in the collective consciousness, it must be a source of inspiration to reflect, strengthen the esprit de corps, and work tirelessly to put an end to the barbarism of all armed groups who want to dictate their laws at any cost.”
