The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), held an operational planning workshop this week alongside its national and international partners.
This initiative was specifically aimed at enhancing inter-institutional synergy with its partners and formulating an indicative operational plan for the effective organization of the referendum and electoral processes.
The collaborative work, conducted in groups, facilitated productive discussions regarding the necessary actions to advance the referendum and electoral processes. The groups, consisting of CEP officials and representatives from partner national and international institutions, focused on various subjects including the operationalization of decentralized structures, the electoral register, voting by the diaspora, logistics, security, training, communication, and civic education, among others.
Following the discussions, draft sectoral calendars and budgets were created by all participants. These proposals are intended to assist the Electoral Council in developing a revised schedule and budget for organizing the constitutional referendum.
The CEP reaffirms its dedication to ensuring that the referendum and electoral processes are conducted in a fully independent, impartial, and inclusive manner.
