Around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 11, Spirit Airlines Flight 951 made a safe landing at Cibao International Airport in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, following reports that gunfire damaged the aircraft during its attempt to land at Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. The aircraft took off from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A precautionary diversion was made to two more flights that were headed for Toussaint Louverture International Airport. The airport has been shut down.
